Book the smaller SBH-approved aircraft even if a bigger one quotes cheaper. The runway there is short and only certain planes are cleared to land — we almost got rerouted to St. Maarten and would've finished the trip by ferry. Our coordinator caught it two days before.

Same thing almost happened to us. Ask the broker to confirm the tail number is SBH-certified in writing, not just "yes."
De-icing fees. Nobody mentioned them and it added real money the morning we left. If you're flying into a mountain airport between November and March, get it in the quote up front instead of on the invoice after.
